I studied English and German to become a teacher and later completed an additional qualification in German as a Foreign Language. Since 1989, I have worked as a freelance language teacher at the University of Duisburg-Essen, teaching international winter and summer courses in cooperation with the DAAD, Socrates and Erasmus programmes. Until 2011, I also taught DSH preparation courses at the university.”
